Providing high quality clinical neurology and diagnostic neurophysiology to the NSW Central Coast and Hunter regions. Our principal neurologist is Professor Robert Heard. We also have associate specialists working with us at times. We are a teaching practice for advanced trainees in neurology.
Central Coast Neurology combines an empathetic and humanist ethic with a rigorous intellectual and scientific basis. Our aims are accurate diagnosis, effective management, timely communication, teaching and research.

Robert Heard BSc(Hons), MB BS, MD, FRCP, FRACP, FAAN, FRSM
Professor Heard was born in Western Australia and educated in the UK. He studied medicine and neurology at Guys Hospital, the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford, and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and The Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London. He returned to Sydney to take up a position at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before moving to the Central Coast in 1994. He has continued to combine a busy clinical practice, research and teaching.
